How are you? Merry Christmas!.. I just wanted to send a big thank you for helping me get to the top of Kili! Yes I did it and it wasn’t too bad (although the final night was a killer). The training certainly made a huge difference – I definitely wouldn’t have made it without you. I was also was fit enough to get down without being carried – a lot of big men were being carried down from exhaustion.

“Being naturally lazy, having ‘dodgy’ knees and an inherent aversion to anything to do with running machines or spin classes, I was apprehensive when told, after a health check, to lose weight and get fit or else! So when presenting myself to personal trainer Phil, at 37°, for help in this mammoth task I saw myself as something of a challenge for him. Luckily for me, he didn’t.

We worked out a plan together, which has evolved as my fitness and strength levels have improved. Through Phil’s good guidance, patience, nagging and most of all, a shared sense of silliness, all my hard work is continuing to pay off. I’m now over three stones lighter and have a waist I thought had gone for good. He’s still working on the ‘bingo wings’ though!

The trainers and staff at the club are friendly, helpful and have a sense of fun – even in the early morning slots! Exercise can be fun after all.”
